Thanks to demand from their dealers, Marlin Central Monitoring has become OzVision Compatible. The central station added OzVision integration and now offers video alarm verification, video guard tours and OzMail to their dealers.

"With industry statistics showing that video monitoring is five times more profitable than burglar or fire alarm monitoring, we see video monitoring services as the future of the industry," said Barry Brannon, president of Marlin Central Monitoring. "Aside from the fact that OzVision manufacturers great products, they are very active in holding seminars, presentations and web-seminars to teach dealers how to sell video services and generate recurring monthly revenue from the enhanced services."

Because OzVision's video is handled in the same way that a central station operator receives an alarm signal and on the familiar infrastructure of their existing software platform, OzVision has become the standard for video monitoring. Operators view pre- and post-alarm video clips allowing them to immediately verify that a breach is in progress, describe where the beach is taking place and describe the circumstances of the breach to the police.

OzMail provides automatic e-mail notification of events with an attached video clip directly to an end user's inbox or handheld Pocket PC. Security and remote management services include automatic video open/close reports, video inventory reports, and scheduled video tours.

Marlin has been offering video monitoring to its dealers since the central station opened three years ago. OzVision is the sixth platform, joining Dedicated Micros, GeoVision, DigiNet, Mace and Teldat. Marlin's corporate philosophy is that having multiple video technologies allows the central station to conform to the marketplace rather than dictating to dealers which platform to use. This has added to the continued successful growth of Marlin.

"Marlin focuses on video monitoring because jurisdictions are fed up with false alarms and more and more city ordinances are implementing no response without verification policies," added Brannon.

"The industry is changing and we tell our dealers, 'If you ask for it you get it!' The money to be made on cameras and DVR’s is significant but that is one time only," said Brannon. "One of our larger dealers increased his monitoring revenue from 15% to 80% and implemented only one change: With every bid proposal that goes out, he added one more itemized line for video monitoring, and is now getting that revenue business."

“Marlin Central Monitoring has carved a name for itself by offering some of the highest standards of monitoring services available today, and I am particularly pleased that they consider OzVision as meeting those same high standards,” said Avi Lupo, OzVision company president.
