Marlin Central Monitoring dealers and subscribers now have information literally at their fingertips with live Internet access directly into the central station server.
The new Marlin program, called ATOM (Automatic Transaction Online Manager) provides alarm companies with the ability to monitor all activity of their accounts in real time. Because they are logging directly into the server, dealers can put accounts on and off test immediately. In addition, they can check zones, look at history, view open/close reports and observe events. ATOM is fully secure with multiple levels of protection.
ATOM displays all alarm signals, the number of accounts a dealer has online, which subscriber has had an alarm activity in the last 24 hours, who has missed a timer test, unidentified signals and many other details. Pressing the refresh button on the browser updates the statistics instantly.
"ATOM is a great tool for an operations manager," said Barry Brannon, president of Marlin. "By using ATOM, alarm companies can become more stream lined with service calls, they can keep costs down and be much more efficient in their day-to-day operations of their company."
Subscribers have direct access to their own subscriber account and information regarding alarm history, open/close statistics, zones and contact lists. For instance, contact lists are changed very often on commercial accounts and giving the subscriber this access allows them to have control of their account and make immediate changes when needed. Subscribers also have 24/7 access to their open/close reports for better internal management.
ATOM also opens up the lines of communication between dealers and customers and will help lower the attrition rate. Dealers can be more proactive by contacting a customer that has had an alarm, before the customer calls in with the problem. In addition, dealers can use it as an added value proposition to get the job being bid on. While the service is free to dealers, alarm companies can increase their recurring revenue by charging their customers for this service.
Phase two will be completed by end of year and will add interactivity. Alarm companies will be able to build their own shells, enter data and make changes directly in ATOM.
